Wood Pigeon-sized bird, with chestnut-coloured body with beautiful blue feathers on the wings and a long blackish tail. It is strongly associated with woodland, where it is often seen in pairs, which mate for life. They feed on small reptiles, rodents and fruit, depending on the season. They can mimic many sounds, including the miaow of cats. They are present throughout the year.
