Similar to a Barn Swallow but with underparts, neck and rump an orange-buff. It is less common than the Barn Swallow and nests under bridges, in buildings and overhangs making a mud nest with a long tubular entrance. It feeds on insects captured in its acrobatic flight. It is a summer breeding visitor to Extremadura.
