Very attractive plumage with olive yellow back and bright yellow underparts and a striking blue grey head. It occurs in wetter areas, irrigated land and river banks. It feeds on small insects and spiders captured close to the water’s edge. It is usually seen on migration, although a few pairs do breed in Extremadura.
